First Person Shooter Game to be Free, id Softwareid Software today have launched the Beta version of their new release Quake Live.

The game is to be made free to all gamers who want to be involved in the testing of the game. Why you ask?

Softpedia have revealed the reason behind this is that the game will feature in-game advertising.

The game has been developed so that it can be played on low end PC computers, maximising the amount of gamers who have the ability to play the game.

If your interested in participating in the testing, you need to sign up to be registered for the game on the games main website.

The game is leading the way in FPS games, allowing gamers to play it for free.

Electronic Arts (EA) are set to release their version of a FPS game, named Battlefield Heroes, which will also offer the luxury of been a free game.
